Connie Clerici Joins Health Quality Ontario’s “Quality Standards Committee”

Connie Clerici

We are both proud and pleased to announce that Connie Clerici, our Chief Executive Officer, has been appointed to the Quality Standards Committee at Health Quality Ontario. Asked about the appointment, Connie indicated – “I am honored to have the opportunity to assist in supporting the development of provincial quality standards that put People First in the Ontario healthcare system.”

Quality Standards Committee
This committee plays a key role in advancing our quality standards program, while also playing a broader role in Ontario’s health care system. This means working collaboratively with all parts of it, to recommend ways in which our own quality standards and other clinical care standards can become reality.

This is why the committee works with patients and the public, clinicians, organizations across Ontario’s health system, and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care – for a more centralized, integrated and systematic approach to quality health care.

Quality standards outline for clinicians and patients what quality care looks like. They focus on conditions where there are large variations in how care is delivered, or where there are gaps between the care provided in Ontario and the care patients should receive.
