Press Release: Peter Nord joins CTG’s Advisory Board

Closing the Gap Healthcare welcomes Dr. Peter Nord as a member of its esteemed advisory board. “Our advisory board members share a deeply rooted passion for strengthening and im-proving our homecare system,” states Connie Clerici, CEO. “We are pleased that Dr. Nord will bring his specialized skills and expertise to the team.”

About Dr. Nord
Dr. Peter Nord is currently V.P., Chief Medical Officer and Chief of Staff at Providence Healthcare. Dr. Nord has a long-standing working knowledge of the long term care sector. He has created a safe and nurturing environment in Providence’s 288 bed home, and has also maintained his clinical practice as Attending Physician for a 33 bed Stroke Rehab Unit in Provi-dence Hospital. He is also an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, involved with teaching and research activities, and works closely with the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.

Working closely with the MOHLTC, Dr. Nord established the provincial Rehabilitation and CCC Expert Panel which, through his leadership, has now been funded by all 14 LHINs as the Reha-bilitative Care Alliance. Dr. Nord was President of The Flying Hospital, an international human-itarian relief agency focused on helping the most disadvantaged groups in the world. Dr. Nord has also pursued non-healthcare endeavours. As CEO of his own consulting company, he founded a charter airline, Voyager International Airline, Inc.
