
Closing the Gap Healthcare has won many awards, and is fully accredited by Accreditation Canada (previously the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation), having undergone successful surveys in 2004, 2007, 2010. When we underwent our survey in 2013 the Council advised us that we were the first organization that offers home care to score 100% on all standards. The next accreditation review recently took place in 2017, and we’re extremely honoured to have been awarded our second consecutive “Accreditation with Exemplary Standing”.

Closing the Gap Healthcare has been selected by the Mississauga Board of Trade’s (MBOT) Business Awards of Excellence Adjudication Committee as the recipient of the 2015 “Large Business of the Year Award”, which was presented at MBOT’s annual Business Awards of Excellence Gala.

Closing the Gap Healthcare Group ranked number 68 in the 2005 PROFIT 100 list of Canada’s Fastest Growing Companies. The PROFIT 100 list profiles Canada’s most successful growth companies, ranked according to five-year growth.

Closing the Gap Healthcare Group was a Regional (South-Western Ontario) finalist in “Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies” awards program, sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC Commercial Banking, National Post and Queen’s School of Business. This program celebrates the practices and people of homegrown, world-class success stories by recognizing companies operating at the highest levels of business performance, including achievement of healthy financials and focus on core vision, creation of stakeholder value and excellence in the global economy.

In 2007, Connie Clerici was honoured with one of five RBC Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year awards. The RBC Momentum Award is granted to an entrepreneur who has successfully overcome obstacles and capitalized on opportunities to deliver profitable growth for more than five years through expanded management, empowered employees and demonstrated excellence.

In October 2007, Connie Clerici was honoured as a finalist in the Health Sciences category of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® Ontario program. The Entrepreneur of the Year program honours entrepreneurs who, through ingenuity, perseverance, and hard work, have demonstrated excellence and extraordinary success in areas such as innovation, teamwork, company development, personal integrity, financial performance, and commitment to their businesses and communities. Submissions are reviewed by an independent judging panel composed of distinguished Canadian business leaders and previous award recipients.

Closing the Gap Healthcare Group’s Huntsville office was awarded a Bronze Level for the Healthy Workplace Wellness Award by the Simcoe County Workplace Wellness Network. This award recognizes employers and employees who demonstrate a commitment to workplace health by promoting and supporting healthy lifestyles for their employees.

From 2007 to 2010, Connie Clerici was named one of “Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100,” by the Women’s Executive Network in the “Entrepreneurs” category. Women’s Executive Network is Canada’s most influential female audience and the country’s leading organization dedicated to the advancement and recognition of executive-minded women in the workplace. In 2010, Connie was inducted into the Women’s Executive Network Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Hall of Fame.™

In 2010, Connie was selected to receive the Business Excellence Award for demonstrating outstanding achievement in all categories – entrepreneurialism, innovation, philanthropy and community involvement, and contribution to the Arts

Since 2004, Connie Clerici has ranked in the top 25 in PROFIT Magazine’s “Annual Profit W100 Ranking of Canada’s Top Women Entrepreneurs.” This event is Canada’s largest annual celebration of entrepreneurial achievement by women, profiling the country’s most successful female business owners.

In November 2012, Connie Clerici received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of her role as the passionate founder of an award-winning Canadian healthcare company that supports those most in need in society – children, frail elderly and other vulnerable populations.

In 2012, a book written by the members of the Canadian Federation of University Women Mississauga, profiles Connie Clerici as one of 36 women who have made outstanding contributions to the Region of Peel over a 200 year period.
